Can be seen by everyone aged 8 and over at Tryater in-house during the Christmas holidays
Anwar is a boy who has been wandering around Europe for a while. When he wants to pitch his tent on the edge of the forest one evening, he suddenly comes face to face with a hungry wolf. The wolf has not eaten anything for days. He is being hunted by people and every meadow is surrounded by a fence.
In an attempt to save himself, Anwar starts telling the wolf stories. His mother used to do that when there was no food. Then he forgot about the growling of his stomach. Maybe that also works with the wolf. Anwar tells story after story, but the beast remains hungry.
Anwar and the Wolf is a visual, musical fairy tale about boundaries. About concepts such as ‘being at home’, ‘belonging’, ‘feeling at home’. About the boundaries of language. And about the boundlessness of empathy.
