How well do we know our parents? What would we have liked to ask or say, but remains unspoken?

In Fierder nei it Noarden, thirty-year-old Gabe ends up in the garage where he and his mother stranded over twenty years ago. When he was nine, Sunny took him on a trip to the Far North, impulsively and without a plan. The journey ended due to car trouble in a garage where mother and son were forced to spend the night. Sunny often recklessly dragged Gabe along into grand fantasies and adventures. He loved her stories and certainly enjoyed being carried along. But this night, for the first time, Gabe felt that he was on his own.

As present, past, and fantasy become fluid, Gabe has the conversation with his mother that was previously impossible. About everything she never understood he needed. Meanwhile, something is brewing with the garage owner: does he perhaps still recognize Gabe? From that defining night, when they were both still children?

Fierder nei it Noarden is an intimate performance about care, love, and responsibility. About a child who had to grow up too soon, and about returning in order to finally be able to move forward. In the raw setting of a car workshop and accompanied by energetic percussion, the audience joins Gabe on his internal journey.

Fierder nei it Noarden takes place in the workshop of the Haaima car garages in Heerenveen, Drachten, and Leeuwarden, respectively.
